Obituary of Susan Crites

Palmyra - Sue Crites, 87, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Woodlands after a brief illness. Sue was born March 1, 1929 to John and Katherine (Bako) Kukasky in Everett, OH and lived most of her life in Palmyra, OH. She attended St. John Lutheran Church in Akron, where she was a life long member since her childhood. Sue loved the Lord, her husband, her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cared for her husband Robert in his battle with MS for 20 years while raising 7 children. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening. Everything that she touched bloomed and blossomed beautifully. Sue was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1995, grandson Tony and was the last of 12 siblings. She is survived by her children Susan (Ken) Longsdorf, Linda Wilson, Laura Webb, Robert (Jayne) Crites, Jr., Kathleen Crites, Michael Crites and Matthew (Tanya) Crites; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren. Sue's family is grateful to the staff at the Woodlands and University Hospital Hospice of Ravenna. The family will receive friends Thursday 4 to 8 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron. Funeral Services will be held Friday 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, 550 E Wilbeth Rd, Akron, OH 44301 where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Luncheon will be served following the service at the church and interment will follow at Palmyra West Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.
