Marcella 'Marcie' Archual, 90, passed away on September 16, 2016.
Born in Edenborn, PA on January 1, 1926 to the late Joseph & Tillie Czuchan, Marcie had been an Akron resident since 1967. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenmore. During WWII Marcie moved to New York City, where she worked for the USO in the Empire State Building, and was working on July 28, 1945 when a B-25 flew into the iconic skyscraper. Marcie was later employed at Open Pantry in Akron. She loved being with her family and loved being with them.
Marcie was preceded in death by her siblings Josephine, Edward, Jenny, Frances, and Joseph. She is survived by her husband of 67 years Frank; her children Frank (Kathy), David (Linda), & Greg (Julie) Archual; grandchildren Eric, Lori (Nick) Korora, Kelly (Michael) Futrell, Daniel, Sean (Carmela), Michael, Anthony (Lisa Hurst), Christopher (Ivana Akrap), and Mark; great-grandchildren Haley, Lucas, Caden, Camryn; brother Frank (Irene) Czuchan, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Luke Lutheran Community & VNS Hospice for their love and care.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, 2-5 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Sam Ciccolini on Monday, 1:00 pm, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at the corner of 16th and Battles in Kenmore. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
