Obituary of Dana Michelle Lonteen
Dana (Dayna) Michelle Lonteen, born October 3, 1982 passed away suddenly as a result of complications from a fire. She was 33 years old.
Dana was born at Barberton Citizens Hospital to Michael and Vicki (Lynch) Lonteen. She was baptized in Christ by her “Papa” Reverend Frank Lonteen (her beloved grandfather) and sponsored by her uncle and aunt, Bill and Becky Lonteen. Dana grew up in Firestone Park in Akron, Ohio before moving to Medina, Ohio where she graduated from Medina High School/MCCA in 2001. Dana was living in Portage Lakes. Dana worked at different places over the years including special times alongside her dad in his company; DM Foods. Dana loved animals and “creatures” of all life. She had three cats; Loki, Maddy and Tellie that shared her love every day. Dana would rescue a fly from a spiders web, never wanting to see anything be hurt. Dana had a heart of gold, never judging, never hating, always loving, always caring despite any challenges that she faced. She loved to read and binge watch her favorite shows with her family and friends. In this life, Dana was like a gazelle surrounded by a pride of lions. Now that she is with God in his Kingdom, she will be a shining light and a pillar of strength for those that she left behind.
She was preceded in death by uncle, Bill Lonteen; great-grandmothers, Mary Halleck, Billie Lemons and Ana Lonteen; great-grandfathers, Abe Lonteen and John Halleck; and grandfather, Bud Lynch. She is survived by her parents, Michael and Vicki (Lynch) Lonteen; brother, Chris Lonteen; grandparents, Dianne Lynch, Reverend Frank and Jean Lonteen and Paul Provchy; aunts, Kristin (Don), Sheryl (Brian) and Becky; uncle, Daniel; and many cousins, loving family members and friends, especially, Mary and Ed Soltis.
