Obituary of Barbara Ann Crotts
Barbara Ann Crotts, 78, passed away May 6, 2016.
She was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and was a teacher for the Akron, Ohio and Oakland, California School Districts. She was a Christian member of Unity Church and the National Guard. Barbara’s biggest passions were children and writing. She was a published author favoring poetry and children’s literature. She enjoyed dance, art, family, friends, traveling and of course, her cat, Mr. B. She will be most remembered for her gentle spirit and extreme compassion; always thinking of others before herself. Her generosity and kind heart will be sorely missed in this world. A private gathering of family to honor her life will be held off the coast of Galveston in late Fall.
She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Douglas Crotts, Sr.; brother, Howard Douglas Crotts, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Eleanora Crotts. She is survived by her mother, Elsie Dawne (Daekon) Crotts; nieces, Beth Ann (Tyler) Carpenter and Lori Craft (Fielding Baron, Jr.); great-nephews, Trey Craft and Cade Carpenter; and great-niece, Reece Carpenter; as well as several cousins and many friends.
Donations may be made in her memory to Wounded Warriors, ASPCA, UNICEF or the American Cancer Society.
