Obituary of Olga Mary Petroff
Olga Mary Petroff, 94, passed away Wednesday, August 03, 2016 at Akron City Hospital.
Olga was born on December 23, 1921 in Cleveland to the late Mike & Mary Petroff. She married Thomas Petroff in 1946, and was a doting mother to their two children. Olga was a wonderful cook and baker, and was always generous with her baked goods—but not her recipes. She loved dancing to big band music, and was an avid fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Olga was a longtime member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church.
In addition to her parents, Olga was preceded in death by her husband Thomas in 2007; and brothers Gabriel, Steve, William & Carl. She is survived by her children Cynthia DiLauro (Rick Belt) and John (Marlene) Petroff; grandchildren Kimberly (James) Ailing, Stephanie Petroff (Devin Oddo) & Jason (Lisa) DiLauro; and great-grandchildren Justin, Courtney, Isabella, Amilio, Enzo, Zack, Mallory & Audrey.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday August 5, at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends for 1 hour prior, beginning at 10AM. Interment will be at St. Nicholas Orthodox Cemetery.
