Obituary of Joy A. Fearigo
GREEN -- Joy Fearigo, 53, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at her home in Green with her family holding her in their hearts.
Joy was born August 14, 1962 to Lamont (Mac) and Jean (Kester) Macaulay in Youngstown. She grew up in Boardman, was a graduate of Youngstown State, lived in Middleburg Heights, Stow and moved to Green in 2000. She was an active member of the Church of the Lakes where she contributed in youth ministries, youth choir, and Vacation Bible School. She was active with the Green PTA and a past board member of the Barracuda Swim Team.
Joy was a fun loving wife, mother, daughter and friend to all who knew her. She had a variety of interests including scrapbooking family memories, volunteering for her children's activities, and snow skiing. She was a 20+ year season ticket holder to the Broadway Series at Playhouse Square. A well-seasoned softball/baseball/swim mom, Joy dedicated long hours cheering on her children whom she loved dearly. Joy was incredibly dedicated and loving to her parents. Joy always had a knack for perfectly accessorizing her attire for the occasion. She leaves a void in many hearts that can only be filled with loving memories andknowledge that she is in a better place.
Joy was preceded in death by her father, and is survived by her husband, Mark; children, Miranda and Andrew; mother, Jean Macaulay; brother, Harry (Kathy) Macaulay; niece, Anna and nephew, Evan Macaulay; mother and father-in-law, Barbara and John Fearigo; and brother-in-law, Bill Fearigo.
Thanks to all of Joy's wonderful friends. You have been so good to us and we could never thank you enough for all your help and encouragement. Stacy (caregiver) and Melissa (music therapist) you are two special people. Thanks for everything. A special thank you to Laura Borne for all you did, you will always have a special place in our hearts.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony & Son Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Rd., Uniontown 44685 (entrance off of Steese). Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Lakes, 5944 Fulton Dr., Canton, OH 44718, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
