Obituary of Virginia Emma Williams
Virginia William, 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 26, 2016.
Born in Osceola Mills, PA on March 20, 1924 to the late Concetto & Philomena, Virginia had been a Cuyahoga Falls resident since 1940. Virginia retired from Ricold Chemical in 1986 with over 35 years of service. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls for over 60 years, where she sang in the choir. Virginia was past-president of the United Rubber Workers #263. She loved to sing country & western music, performing with the Sweet Adelaides, and singing on the radio back in PA. She also was an avid guitar and banjo player.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 1986; daughter Dixie Esker in 2015, as well as 3 brothers and 7 sisters. She is survived by her children Gary (Iris) Britten, Chick (Gale) Williams, Nelson Williams, Jack (Cheryl) Williams, Curtis (Shirley) Williams, and Cheryl (Donald) Papendry; sister Carrie Moore, and more than 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, 5-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave. (at 3rd. St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 10 am, at Sto Joseph Catholic Church on Second St. in Cuyahoga Falls. Please note that the proccession will form at the church. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park in Twinsburg.
