Obituary of Sherry Lee Memmer
Sherry Memmer, 62, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016.
Born in Akron, Sherry was a life long resident and earned her MS in nursing. She dedicated her life to the nursing profession most recently as a Psychiatric Nurse. She also enjoyed teaching future nurses at a local college. In her spare time, Sherry enjoyed all things outdoors. Her favorite activities included boating, water skiing and taking her four legged friends for walks in the summer as well as snow skiing in the winter, Sherry also took great pride in watching her grandchildren grow and enjoy the outdoors as much as she did.
Sherry was preceded in death by her grandparents, Blanche and Nelson Finzel and Des and Luke Houff; and mother, Doretha (Finzel) Houff. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Zac Lundgren; father, Edward (Bette) Houff; sister, Linda Infantino; brother, Jim (Carol) Houff; and grandsons, Jackson and Tyler Lundgren. Sherry was also blessed to have a loving extended family of nephews, niece, cousins and numerous other family members and friends.
A Memorial service will be held Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 3 p.m. at the Firestone Park United Methodist Church, 250 N. Firestone Blvd. Akron, Ohio 44301 where the family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Pastor Randy May officiating. (Anthony, Akron, 330-724-1281, www.anthonyfh.com)
