Obituary of Brenda Kay Von Kaenel

Brenda Kay Von Kaenel (Akers), 72, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2016. Born in Fireco, WV on January 20, 1944 Brenda had been a lifetime area resident. Brenda worked in the trucking industry for many years, and later ran her own scrap booking store, The Scrap Addict, in Strausburg.Brenda was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Brenda was preceded in death by her husbands David Akers & William Von Kaenel; parents George & Celia Bailey & sisters Gerry Brandstetter and Shirley Bailey. She is survived by her children Michael (Nanette) Akers, Karen Gosnell, & Tonya (Tiffani) Akers; 17 grandchildren & 21 great-grandchildren; brothers Jim, Roger, & Rick Bailey; sister Jean (Carl) Hall. The family will receive friends on Friday, 5-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, 11 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron.
