Obituary of John Dennis Kuziak

John Dennis Kuziak, M.D., 78, fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, April 15, 2016. He was born in Akron and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Dr. Kuziak was a Cardiologist and Doctor of Internal Medicine practicing at the Harrison Community Hospital in Cadiz and he also had a private practice in Scio and Flushing Ohio. He retired in 2002. He was a former member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Mogadore and Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church in Steubenville. He was a current member of Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church in Fairlawn. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and golfing with his family. He was a lifelong member of the Jefferson County Sportsman’s Association and a member of Steubenville and Cadiz Country Clubs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Marie (Slanta) Kuziak. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandra; sons, Michael D. (Lori) and John J. (Marge); brothers, Michael T. (Elizabeth) and Frank R.; and grandchildren, John J. Jr., Nicholas, Alexandra and Michael K. Kuziak. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m. at Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church, 3365 Ridgewood Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333 where he will lie in state one hour prior to service. Rev. Dr. Ian Pac-Urar officiating. Interment at Wolf Run Cemetery in Wolf Run, Ohio. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. AT THE CHURCH where a Saracusta service will be held at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church.
