Obituary of Richard A Stidd

Richard 'Rick' A. Stidd -CUYAHOGA FALLS Richard 'Rick' Stidd, 68, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on April 6, 2016. Born in Ravenna on June 21, 1947, Rick had been a Cuyahoga Falls resident since 2000. He attended Ravenna High School and worked for many years as a truck and bus driver. Rick was a war reenactment enthusiast and especially enjoyed reenacting the French-Indian War. With his wife Sarah, whom he met at a reenactment, Rick was very active in the war reenactment community. Rick was a faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 13517 and a 4th degree Knight of the KofC Edward McFadden Assembly. Rick was an avid Steelers fan. Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Sarah; son Darren Stidd; daughters Renae (Harvey) Ledsome & Sarah (Robert) Cannon; grandchildren Justin Seymour, Diane Ledsome, Louella Ledsome, Maxine Ledsome, Katharine Cannon, and Edward Ledsome. Great-granddaughters Sabrina, Elizabeth, and Makenna, and his beloved cat Silly. The family will receive friends Friday (4-8-2016), from 6-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Singler on Saturday, 10 am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rick's memory c/o the funeral home.
