Obituary of Tillie Widican

Tillie Widican, 87, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend quietly fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, March 25, 2016. She was born in Canton and would eventually meet the love of her life and best friend Eugene Widican. Tillie was a beauty operator for many years, and a patient advocate at St. Thomas Hospital for many years as well. She was a member of Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church and Ladies Auxiliary. Tillie loved to bake, and spend time with the family she loved so much. Special Thank you to the staff at Hickory Ridge Nursing Facility, Tridia Hospice and the Presentation of Our Lord Church Family for their care and support through the years. She was preceded in death by her son, Gene; and husband, Eugene. She is survived by her daughter, Diana Paladino; son, Gary (Lisa) Widican; brother, John (Helen) Bikis; sister, Aurelia Brinzea; grandchildren, C.J. (Matt Weaver) Paladino, Lia (Ed) Murphy, Lexi (Cody) Duckworth and Ryan and Ashley Widican; great-grandson, Edmond Murphy VI; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. at the Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church, 3365 Ridgewood Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333 where Tillie will lie in state one hour prior to service. Very Rev. Dr. Ian G. Pac-Urar officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, 6 to 8 p.m. AT THE CHURCH where a Saracusta service will be held at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
