Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth Perich

Ruth E. Perich, 93, passed away, Thursday, March 24, 2016 in Stow. Born on September 5, 1922 in Roanoke Virginia to the late Morman & Bessie Wheeler, Ruth came to Akron with her family as a young girl. She worked at Goodyear during World War II and was an auxiliary member of VFW #3383. A dedicated wife, mother & grandmother, Ruth enjoyed her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a Firestone Park PrimeTimer, participated in a card club for many years, and bowled on a league. Ruth also enjoyed many family vacations to Myrtle Beach for more than 30 years. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband James E. Perich, Sr.; son James, Jr.; and nine siblings. She is survived by her children Terry (Mary) Perich, Thomas (Diane) Perich, Debbie (Sam) Kaludy, Becky (Gary) Wise; daughter-in-law Sandra Perich; brother Charles Wheeler; sisters-in-law Doris Perich & Ellen Wheeler; brother-in-law Merle Boll; grandchildren Pamela (Matt) Schumacher, Dawn (Bob) Young, Holly (Josh) Brown, Brian (Megan) Kaludy, Michelle (Michael) Harmon, Jason (Keri) Wise, & Matthew Wise; great-grandchildren Christopher, Heather, Joshua, Isabella, Cayden, Kyler, Jameson, Taylor, Max, Rylan, Adelyn & Brennen; special friend Joanne Head; and many beloved extended family members. The family is grateful to the Briarwood & Crossroads Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Ruth, especially during her final days. The family will receive friends TOMORROW, Saturday, March, 26 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, March 28 at 10:30 AM, at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
