Obituary of Mary L. LaRocca

Mary (Deremigio) LaRocca Mary LaRocca passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the age of 98. Mary was born August 18, 1917 in Akron Ohio to the late Emidio and Rose (Ruffini) Deremigio. She retired from food service for the Akron Public Schools. She was an active member of St Peter Catholic Church until its closing. Upon the closing she became a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Frank, daughter-in-law Adele, brothers and their wives, Dominic (Virginia) Deremigio, John (Sadie) Deremigio, sisters-in-law; Jennie (Phil) Castanaro, Gloria and Josephine LaRocca: nephew Mick Deremigio. She is survived by her sons; Jerry (Mary Ann), Thomas, Joseph and John (Susan) her daughters; Rosemary (Nick) Guistino, Frances (James) Richard, Marge Despot, Nancy (Glenn) Thorson and Christine (Carlo) Cavallaro: 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a niece & nephews and special family friend Jerry Converse. Calling hours will be Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S Main St, Akron, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2100 16th St SW, Akron, Ohio 44314. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
