Obituary of Barbara Joan Gerbasi

-CUYAHOGA FALLS Barbara Gerbasi, age 85, died on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Born to Ervin Berning and Fae Cook Berning in Indianapolis in 1930, Barbara was the younger of two daughters. Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, she attended St. James Elementary, St. Augustine High School, and Ursuline College. She was prececed in death by her parents, daughter Linda Gerbasi, sister and brother-in-law Jeanne and Donald Dean, and father- and mother-in-law, James and Molly Gerbasi. Barbara is survived by her husband James, daughters Susan (Timothy) Bartlebaugh, Margaret (Earl) Iselin, sons James R. and John Gerbasi, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Louise (Thomas, deceased) Seeholzer, brother-in-law Stephen Gerbasi, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, The American Heart Association, or any charity of your choice.
