Obituary of Maria Nagy

We announce with heavy hearts that our beloved mother, Mária Nagy, a saint by most accounts, has passed away at the age of 78. She suffered from advanced heart and kidney disease and ultimately succumbed to their repercussions. She left us on Thursday afternoon, February 11, 2016 to join the Lord peacefully while comforted by her sons, Attila and Lehel “Luke”. Born January 19, 1938 in Petrozsény, Transylvania, she married Lehel Nagy in 1960 and moved to the United States in 1978. She was employed by the Lorantffy Care Center and subsequently Christ Reformed Church in Copley until her retirement. Preceded in death by her husband, Lehel Nagy; she is survived by sons, Attila Nagy and Lehel “Luke” (Lisa) Nagy; grandsons, Christian (Cassi) Rounds and Joshua Simons; and her great-grandchildren, Ili, Ayden, Brodie, and Paige. The family will receive friends Monday, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Funeral service immediately following at 7 p.m. Rev. Csaba Orosz officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or to a charity of choice.
