Obituary of Donald Stump

Donald Stump, 82, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Akron City Hospital. Donald was born October 7, 1933 to Clyde and Jessie (Hall) Stump in Akron and had been an area resident his entire life. He was a veteran of the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed by Goodyear Aircraft, Aerospace and Loral for over 40 years retiring in 1995. He was a member of Celebration Church Assembly of God. Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Polly (nee May); children Keith (Paula) Stump and Lisa (Brad) Miller; grandchildren Brandon, Heather, Ryan and Carli Stump and Erik and Nicole Miller; sisters Vidalie (Wayne, dec.) Cuthbert and Dolores (James) Oplinger. He was preceded in death by his siblings Mildred (Paul) Olson, Ruth (Thomas) Davis and Hazel Stump. The family will receive friends Sunday 1 to 4 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
