Obituary of Jo-Nell Madeline Martin
Jo-Nell Madeline Martin passed away at the age of 65 on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
Born on June 11, 1950 to Richard and Madeline Grill. She was preceded in death by her father Richard B. and sister-in-law Silvia Grill. She leaves behind her dear husband and high school sweetheart John; Sons John Aaron & Erik (Daneen); sweet granddaughter Mykenzie; also mother Madeline; sister Gloria & Linda; brothers Richard (Jan) of Chicago and Tom of Tehachapi, CA; as well as many wonderful friends, and her 'special boys': Brian, Danny, John, Kirk, and Gary.
Jo-Nell graduated from Ellet High School and St. Thomas School of Nursing. She then worked at Summa Hospital for over 40 years. She was the shining light of her family and friends, always thoughtful & generous with her time. Always willing to help her family and friends even as she was dealing with her own serious medical issues; she was a strong and courageous woman. She taught us all about life with her quiet dignity and humility. This world will be a sadder place without her. Go with God, Jo.
Calling hours will be Friday, February 5 from 4-7 PM at the Antony & Son Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads in Green, entrance off of Steese Rd.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10 AM at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Road, in Green. Cremation has taken place and private burial services will be held at a later date.
