Obituary of Jacqueline E. Brandt

Jacqueline E. (Adams) Brandt, 85, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013. Mom was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls/Kenmore and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenmore where she was also a substitute teacher in the late 1950's and early 1960's. She loved the cartoon character Betty Boop and was an avid collector of everything "Betty." Mom believed that all food groups could be brought together in one: Chocolate (dark/milk). She enjoyed working on many different crafts, ceramics and other handicraft activities. Mom loved playing cards and bingo, and especially playing darts with her friends at her son Edward's bar, the Delights Inn II. Other memberships included the Mudhens Ceramic Club of Akron/Cuyahoga Falls, China Painting Club, the Fraternal Order of Forresters and the Swiss Lietertofl Club in Akron. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Alexander and Virginia A. (Gove) Adams; husband, Adam Frank Brandt; brother, Edward Alexander Adams; and Mom's best friend, Mary Baer, who has been waiting to play cards and have a good time. She is survived by her children, Adam David Brandt (James Michael Nusbaum), Mary Elizabeth Stewart, Edward Anthony Brandt and Teresa Ann (Dave) Capron; grandchildren, Virginia Marie Brandt, Eva Marie Little, Veronica Virginia Stewart, Amy Louise Brandt, Darren Matthew Capron, Jessica Elizabeth Anne Stewart and Rachel Mackenzie Stewart; and great-grandchildren, Matthew Little, Kylie Brandt, Brady Allen Little and Corbin Edward Brandt. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 South Main St. in Akron where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
