Obituary of Jack Clarence Hiebsch
Jack C. Hiebsch, 83, passed away peacefully from heart failure at Akron City Hospital with his family at his side.
Jack was born February 14, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio to Clarence and Marie (Newacheck) Hiebsch. He graduated from Fenn College with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. After serving in the Army Chemical Corp. during the Korean Conflict, he worked at Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. buying tire molds. After retirement from Firestone, Jack worked at Universal Tire Mold. He was a member of the Firestone Park Presbyterian Church.
Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Doris (Glenn) Bicker and grandson, Joel Zippay.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Patton) Hiebsch with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannie & Lester Poast of Mt. Gilead and Beth & Jim Zippay of Westerville; 5 grandchildren, Cindy (Adam) Brenneman, Laura and Kevin Poast, Gabriel and Andrea Zippay; sister Betty (Walt) Jackson and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz chapel, 1990 South Main Street in Akron.
