Obituary of Shirley N. Rardin

Shirley N. Rardin Shirley N. Rardin, 81, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Shirley was born August 24, 1930 to Charles and Minnie (Shelgosh) Brosch in Slicksville, Pa. and had been an Akron area resident most of her life. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband David in 2001. She is survived by her children Gaile (Bruce) Young, David Rardin, Nancy (Dean) Young and Barbara (Dell) Chapman ; grandchildren Vincent & Nathan (Christie)Taylor and Nadyne and Shawn Blumer; great grandchildren Chase and Niall Taylor and Candace and Nicole Hayes; brother Robert (Marty) Brosch; family friends Aunt Trudy, Aunt Audrey and Teddy; nieces, nephews and friends. Shirley was artistic and creative and had been past president of the North East Ohio Doll Makers Association. She made friends easily and was known for her out going spirit and her sense of humor. She loved to cook and eat, especially at restaurants. She was a woman with a strong sense of loyalty and an ability to endure dark times… she was a Tribe fan. She adored children and did little things to brighten their days. She will be missed. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday 4:00 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. where the family will receive friends Sunday 2 to 4 pm.
