Obituary of John Andrew Ruman

John Andrew Ruman, 93, of Akron, Ohio died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Rd. in Copley Twp. He was born on February 5, 1918 and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Mr. Ruman was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces serving during World War II and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Ruman in 2000; and is survived by his son, Roger Phillip Ruman and his wife, Anita Sue Ruman; grandson, Roger John Ruman and his wife, Martha Ruman; niece, Jenny Cobrda of Greensboro, N.C. and nephew, John Paul Cobrda and his wife, Pauline Cobrda and their son, Jonathan Cobrda. Calling hours will be held TONIGHT from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday, December 9 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 9 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor John Eiwen officiating. Interment at East Akron Cemetery.
