Obituary of Helen Kolasky

Helen Kolasky, 88, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011. She was born in Millfield, Ohio and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved and cherished her family and instilled the ways of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in her children at a very young age. She was a self-taught piano player and her hobby was sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen (Daku) Urban; husband, Paul in 1990, to whom she was married to for 43 years; brothers, Bill and Gene Urban; and sister, Esther Urban. She is survived by her children, Paul (Patty) Kolasky, Joyce (Ed) Alacchi, Carol (Terry) Thomas, Michael (Lynda) Kolasky and Jacci (Bill) Speicher; brothers, Les Urban and Alex (Louise) Urban; sister, Elizabeth Waters; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Pastor Kevin Seager officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
