Obituary of Stephen Anthony Keplinger
Stephen A. Keplinger, Sr., 93, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at St. Luke Lutheran Home.
He was born October 6, 1918 to Richard and Julia (Kuffa) Keplinger in Akron and had been an Akron area resident his entire life. He was a carpenter for Brown- Graves Lumber for 41 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, the Jednota 553, and the St. John the Baptist Altar and Rosary Society. He was a veteran of the Army during WWII.
Steve was preceded in death by his beloved wife Irene; grandson Marc Williams; brother Rudolph and sister Johanna Caley; and is survived by his children Rosemary (Fred) Capotosto, Stephen (Mary) Keplinger, Thomas (Rachel) Keplinger, Anne (Paul) Williams and Loretta (Buck) Williams; grandchildren Angela (Trevor) Rednour, Sergio (Marie) Capotosto, Roberto (Danielle) Capotosto, Julia (Craig) Campbell, Zachary, Brian, Jason (Debbie) and Kevin (Brandi) Keplinger, Christine (Ryan) Robinson, Joseph, Michael (Mistie) and Anthony (Mary) Williams, Crystal Seidel and Sarah and Adam (Erin) Williams; great grandchildren Christian and David Rednour, Brianna, Giordano and Angelina Capotosto, Brandt and Ellie Campbell, Ava, Jason Kayla, and Trent Keplinger, Emily and Evelyn Winfield and Leland Williams.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:30 am at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., and 10:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd. Akron, OH 44319, followed by interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Clinton. The family will receive friends Friday 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home where a Rosary will be recited at 4:00 pm and time of sharing will take place at 7:45 pm.
