Obituary of Rodger Dale Sutton

Rodger Sutton, age 67, passed peacefully on November 5, 2011 after a long struggle. He was the beloved husband of Barbara, father of Tyler Sutton and Tim Lusk (Christina), and grandpa of Dylan and a Grandson on the way. He will be deeply missed by his mother-in-law Dolly Roberts; sisters Jolene (Al) Kovacs of Southington, OH, Shirley (Jim) Holmes of Windsor, OH, and Anita Sutton of Warren, OH; brothers Ronald (Marge) Sutton of Centre, AL and Howard Sutton of FL. He was preceded in death by sisters Judith Jones, Marilyn McGregor and Geraldine Sutton; brothers Arthur Wiseman and Herbert Sutton. Rodger served in the United States Navy. He also leaves his large family of co-workers at the ADM Detox Center where he worked for 21 years. His passion in life was helping others to reach their recovery. He was a Chemical Dependency Counselor for over thirty years. The family would like to thank Jolene Kovacs and all of Rodger's co-workers, as well as Barb's co-workers at ODJFS, for all of their love and support. They also wish to thank the staff at Select Specialty and Summa ICU-SVU for their care and kindness. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a memorial service will take place following the calling hours at 4:00 pm.
