Obituary of Marion Georgeff

Marion Georgeff was called by the Lord on November 1st, 2011. Born in Amynteo, West Macedonia, Greece, on October 22, 1925; She had been a teacher before emigrating to the USA. "Marianthi" recently celebrated her 86th birthday. In the 1950's, Marion came to Akron where she worked as an accounting clerk at the M.O'Neil Company. She and her husband Nick were owners of the LaPolama Bar and Grille on South Main Street. The family would like to thank Marion's special friends and neighbors for all of their help. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas; sister, Angie; brother, Chris; and parents, Hirisios and Sultana Nanos. Visitation hours will be held at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church starting at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 4, followed by the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
