Obituary of Edward Michael Podrosky
Edward Michael Podrosky, 54, of Toledo, Ohio passed away suddenly on October 9, 2011 at his residence. He was born on Sept. 9, 1957 to Michael and Lillian Podrosky.
Edward was a graduate of Akron University; afterward he was a candidate for work in National Security. Instead he worked for the National Parks Service in various states, and was most fond of his service in Arizona. He had 22 years service with the Streets/Bridges/Harbors Division of the City of Toledo, where he was currently employed. Ed was most known for his sense of humor, his quick wit and his love of fishing (especially with Dad). Ed was also an avid gardener and he enjoyed working around his parents home.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael John; grandparents, Michael John (Mary) Podrosky and George (Julia) Karras; and aunts and uncles too numerous to list. He is survived by parents, Michael and Lillian Podrosky; sister, Patricia (Clark) Gallagher; nephew, Robert (Jen) Gallagher; niece, April (Jeff) Gallagher Myers; and aunts and uncles, Madelyn (Richard) Grill and Ed (Toby) Karras. He will also be missed by cousins, Linda Brown, Johnny Joe (Melissa) Podrosky, Gloria Hull, Jo-Nell (John) Martin, Nancy Schafer, Irene Conley, Mary Frederick, Susie (Kenneth) Jones, James (Sherri) Schafer, Michael (Nancy) Schafer, Barbara (Ken) Klein, Joan (Wesley) Davis, John (Erica) Karras and Joanne (John) Rockwood. He leaves behind many other family and friends, especially those from the VFW Post of Toledo, Ohio. Till we meet again in heaven, love eternally and God bless.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, 11:30 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 :30 a.m. Fr. Gordon Yahner officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice in his memory.
