Obituary of Barbara Garman

Barbara Garman, 75, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at her home. Barbara was born February 15, 1936 to Lyle and Kathleen (Jackson) Garman in Akron and had been an Akron resident her entire life. She was a graduate of the University of Akron and a member of the Delta Zeta Soroity. She was a faithful member of High Street Christian Church and sang in the church choir. She was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber co. for 26 years retiring in 1987. Barbara is survived by her sister Linda Benton; nephews William, Thomas (Melanie) and Timothy Benton; great nieces and nephews Lauren, Brittney, Megan, Abbigail, Leah and Benjamin Benton. Funeral Services will be held Sunday 4:00pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Interment will be held Monday at 11:00am at Glendale Cemetery.
