Obituary of Norma Jean Roose

Norma Jean Roose Norma Jean Roose (nee Pike), 84, formerly of Northampton Twp., passed away on September 27, at the Summa Palliative Care Center in Akron. Born in Akron on October 26, 1926 to the late Harvey and Nellie (Harner) Pike, Norma had lived in Uniontown since 1989. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband Jim and her sisters Irene Gartner & Marion Meese. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Doug & Terri Roose, daughter and son-in-law Chris (Jack) Popiel, and grandchildren Joi & Nanci Roose; dear friends Dottie & Dallas, as well as many nieces & nephews. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of the caring physicians, nurses, and staff from Summa Palliative Care for the compassion & care given to Norma during her stay there. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron 7996 Darrow Rd. Twinsburg, OH 44087.
