Obituary of Joseph A. Labbe

-CUYAHOGA FALLS Joseph A. Labbe, 93, passed away on September 27. Born in Akron on October 12, 1917 to the late Edward & Theresa Labbe, Joe had been a Cuyahoga Falls resident since 1942. he was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He retired from the Twinsburg Chrysler Plant in 1979, where he worked for 23 years as a tool maker. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis in 2010, as well as 6 brothers. He is survived by his children Frank (Sher) Labbe of Cuyahoga Falls, Susan (Jeff) Moorehead of Stow, Sharon (Mike) Shaffer of Stow, Joe (Diana) Labbe of Silver Lake, and Sandra (Michael) Yamokoski of Cuyahoga Falls, as well as 6 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren; brother Leonard Labbe and sisters Cecilia Johnson & Mary Ann Hileman, as well as many nieces & nephews. A funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL (at 3rd. St., one block north of Portage Trail in the Falls), where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Fr. Thom McCann officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
