Obituary of Dorothy D. Cedic

Dorothy Cedic, age 84, of Sedona, Arizona died Friday September 2, 2011 in Phoenix with her sons at her bedside. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Sworak; and parents, Zorka Sivchev and Djura Sivchev all of Akron, Ohio. She is survived by her husband, Miodrag Cedic; and sons, Sreten Cedic and Dorde Cedic all of Sedona. She was a loving and nurturing mother and wife, successful businesswoman and enjoyed travel. Born in Akron, Ohio she was very active in St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church in Akron from her youth until moving to Phoenix in 1960, then raised her sons in St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Phoenix. Dorothy co-founded Cedic Development Co. in 1963 in Phoenix. A 35 year resident of Sedona, she owned C Market in Sedona since 1984. Funeral service will be held TODAY, 1 p.m. at St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church, 3106 Ridgewood Rd. in Copley where Dorothy will lie in state and friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Fr.
