Obituary of Michael J. Goffee

Michael James Goffee, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 5, 2011. Michael was born on December 15, 1946 in Akron and was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer, cook and gardener. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Goffee Nickerson; father, Michael Goffee; and many beloved friends. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Sarah (Matt) Bailey and Carrie "Fred" Goffee (Jarad Callihan); grandchildren, Cameron Almasie Callihan and Owen James Bailey; brothers, Ron Goffee and Ken (Sharon) Goffee; sister, Mary Plusquellic; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Deacon Frank Lonteen officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Interval Brotherhood Homes, 3445 S.
