Obituary of Barbara Jean Fay

-CUYAHOGA FALLS Barbara Jean Fay (Palko) Born January 29, 1939, died September 7, 2011 following a lengthy hard fought battle with cancer. Barbara was Preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Gladys Palko. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Edward A. Fay Jr. Also mourning her passing are her children - son Greg (Susan), daughter Maureen (Rich) McCarty , son Dennis; 15 grandchildren: Sarah, Rory, Michael, Andy, Hope, Chelsea, Jacqueline, Conner, Kit, John, Maureen, Brian, Samuel, Ian and Marielle; Brother Charles W. Palko, as well as many other friends and relatives. Barbara retired after 26 years from The B. F Goodrich Tire Company. Barbara loved gardening, spending time with her family and the ocean. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL (at 3rd St., one block north of Portage Trail in the Falls). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Robert Pahler on Saturday at 10:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. Private interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Hospice of Summa 444 N. Main St. Akron, OH 44310.
