Obituary of Margaret Mae VanBoven
-CUYAHOGA FALLS
Margaret VanBoven, 90, passed away on December 12, at the Gardens of Western Reserve.
Born in Cleveland on April 6, 1922 to the late Percy & Anne Hodgson, Margaret had been a longtime Cuyahoga Falls resident. She was a member of the Pilgrim United Church of Christ. Along with her husband, Margaret was the owner of Van's Shell Service in Wadsworth, OH. Margaret was a dedicated volunteer for the Cuyahoga Falls American Legion Post #281 and Good Neighbors of Cuyahoga Falls. She was a talented artist and loved cats, always having one at her side. She was an ardent supporter of numerous causes, being particularly passionate in regard to rescue animals.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Emery, son Dale, and her brother Fred Hodgson. She is survived by her children Greg (Lona) VanBoven of Las Vegas, NV and Virginia VanBoven of Akron; grandchildren Philip (Dalila) & Elysia VanBoven & great-grandson Luke; sister-in-law Charlotte VanBoven & nephew Bruce Hodgson.
A Graveside service will be held Saturday, 11:00 am, at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls. Pastor Gail Lindsey officiating.
