Obituary of Roger William Wilson
Roger William Wilson, 69, went home to be with the Lord on August 26, at Akron City Hospital.
Born in Akron on July 1, 1942 to the late William & Suzanne Wilson, Roger had been a lifetime area resident. Roger served his country as a member of the US Navy during the Vietnam War, where he served on the USS Berkeley. He later joined the Army Reserve as a member of the 107th Calvary He was a graduate of the Great Lakes Trucking School, the Hammel Business College, and the Stark Technical College, with a degree in Design & Mechanical Engineering.
He is survived by his beloved wife Linda, whom he married on June 29, 1968; sons Eric, Mark(Ottie), and Robert (Anna) Wilson.
Cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. A Celebration of Roger's Life will be held on Friday, at 11:30 am at the High Street Christian Church in Akron. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the High St. Christian Church Building Fund 131 South High Street Akron, OH 44308-1497.
