Obituary of Georgia D. Witte

Georgia D. Witte, 88, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Barberton Citizens Hospital. Georgia was born April 30, 1923 to Vidak and Milicia (Pribicevich) Djurisich in Elbert, WV. She was an active member of Allenside Presbyterian Church. She was part of the Womens Group, Bible Study and Food Bank and taught Sunday School. She was active in the League of Women Voters, Kolo Club and the YWCA. Georgia was the beloved wife of Hubert; loving mother of Cynthia Holmes, Rebecca (Chip) MacConnell and Deborah Witte; grandmother of 15; great grandmother of 1; sister of George (Delores) Djurisich; and was preceded in death by her grandson Nathaniel MacConnell; sister Mildred Queen and brother Mike Durich. A Celebration of Georgia's Life will be held Tuesday 11:00am at Allenside Presbyterian Church, 410 Rexford Street, Akron, OH 44314. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 5 to 8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. and Tuesday 10 to 11Am at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Allenside Presbyterian Church.
