Obituary of Joyce 'Ann' Cool
Joyce 'Ann' (Byrge, Buck) Cool, passed away into her savior's arms at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center in Akron, on July 28, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Campbell County, TN on April 24, 1950, Anne had been a longtime area resident. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kenmore, a Life Member of the VFW Firestone Park Post #3383 Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion Post #566 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Rakkasan Association.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Calloway (C.L.) and Ollie Marie (Reynolds); brothers B.L., Jimmy, & Early (Linda) Byrge; sisters Mary (Harrison Bunch) Crabtree & Ellen (Rullie) Carroll all of Clinton, TN. She is survived by her husband , Arnon W. 'Sonny' Cool; son James T. (J.T.) Buck; step-son Billy Buck; sisters Ruby (David) McCartt of Akron & Gladys Byrum of Clinton, TN; brothers Arnold & Ike (Ivory) Byrge, all of Clinton, TN, as well as many nieces & nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Visiting Nurse Service of Akron & the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center for their wonderful care & support.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Firestone VFW Ladies Auxiliary Cancer Research Fund, 690 W. Waterloo Rd. Akron, OH 44314.
