Obituary of Joseph A. DeStefano

Joseph A. DeStefano, 64, passed away on July 26, at Akron General Medical Center. Born on December 9, 1946 to Louis & Geraldine DeStefano in Evanston, IL, Joe had been an area resident for over 25 years. Joe served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the US Air Force. Preceded in death by his father Louis, Joe is survived by his loving mother Geraldine DeStefano of Green; son Ryan of Manchester and daughter Leslie of Canton; grandchildren Anthony & William; sister Janice (John) Zimmerman of Uniontown and brother Anthony (Barbara) DeStefano of GA; Aunt Dorothy of Chicago, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, July 30, at St. Francis Desales Catholic Church.
