Obituary of Dorothy Jean Rininger

Dorothy J. Rininger, 87, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Hickory Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center in Akron. She was born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania and loved to read, bowl and watch sports. Mrs. Rininger was a former Sunday School Teacher at Boulevard United Methodist Church. A special thank you to the staff at Hickory Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center for their loving care. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ross and Marie Allen; husband, Mahlon Rininger; and grandson, Joshua Frounfelker. She is survived by her sister, Sarah Etta (Bob) Murphy; daughters, Sharon (Dan) Frounfelker and Bonnie Rininger; and grandchildren, Sarah, Jacob and Jared Frounfelker. Calling hours will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Graveside service and interment will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Cuyahoga Falls. Rev. Charles Whitlock officiating.
