After retiring, she volunteered for 10 years at Valley Forge HS. "Aunt Bea," as she was known by all, was devout in her faith and an example of loving devotion and strength to her family. Her cooking/baking expertise was known by all; she delighted in sharing her recipes and techniques with family. She was especially close to and supportive of grand nieces, Jane and Katie Killian and remained a strong loving influence in their lives. Her last eight years were spent living at Francesca Residence, surrounded by the loving friendships of the Daughters of Divine Charity. Throughout her life, Bea encountered numerous adversities and overcame them with perseverance, strength and faith. Always an example to those who loved her, she "fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith" and is finally resting in the arms of her Lord. Her family thanks the staff of the Hospice Care Center for excellent care. We offer special appreciation to the Daughters of Divine Charity who offered loving kindness, friendship and support throughout recent years. Aunt Bea will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Francesca Residence, 39 N. Portage Path, Akron, 44303.
