Obituary of Richard J. Marquard

Richard J. Marquard, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at his home. He was born in Fairview Park, Ohio and retired from the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority. He was a member of the Sons of Herman and Jednota Clubs. He was preceded in death by parents, Lester and Evelyn (Cochran) Marquard; and is survived by his wife of 20 years, Barbara (Bialy) Marquard; sons, Joseph (Debbie), James (Mimi) and Jeffrey Marquard; brothers, Robert (Diane) and Jack (Thelma) Marquard; sisters, Joan (Mike) Brand and Judy Marquard; grandson, Ryan Marquard; uncle, Bob (Joan) Cochran; mother of his children, Betty; mother-in-law, Ann Cassell; brother-in-law, Richard Bialy; step-sons, Charles and Nicholas; step-grandson, Christian; step-granddaughters, Michelle and Nicole; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful companions, Sam, Sara and Mozart. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S.
