Obituary of Sally Grace Semilia
GREEN - Sally Grace Semilia, 84, of Green passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Sally was born August 16, 1928 to the late Marion and Jennie (Grossi) Recco in Akron. She and her husband Anthony have resided in Green for the last 35 years.
Sally was an active member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She was extremely proud of her Italian Heritage. She loved family gatherings with food, music and dancing. She was an avid bowler, liked occasional trips to the casino and was truly herself on a raft in the ocean at the beach.
Sally was preceded in death by her brothers Frank and Sam Recco and sisters Pauline Recco and Helen Pircio. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Anthony; children Joanne Semilia, Toni (Bill) Norman and Marianne (Ron) Carter; grandchildren Erica (Sean) Gill-Shotts, Shannon Gill, Maria Kukasky, Jennifer (Dan) Bond, Natalie (Angelo) Donatelli, Sarah Norman and Toni Carter; great grandchildren Charlie, Ian, Paulo, Nina, Evan, Lily, Elianna, Ava and Franco; sisters Angelina Cambria and Marian DeBona; brother Harold Recco; many special nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday from 3 to 8 Pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Green Chapel, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads, entrance off Steese). Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:45 Am at the funeral home followed at 11:00 Am by a Mass of Chrisitan Burial at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd. Uniontown, OH 44685. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
