Obituary of Mary Theresa Nyeste

Mary Theresa Nyeste, 80, passed away on June 3, 2011 at Rockynol. Born in Akron on February 5, 1931 to the late Mathias & Mary Nyeste, Mary had been a lifetime Akron resident. She was employed by the City of Akron in industrial waste management, retiring in 1988 after 30 years. Mary served our country as a member of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. She was a member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers Mathias and Fr. John Nyeste. She is survived by nephews Michael (Maggie) & Mark Nyeste, as well as great-nephew Matthew Nyeste & great-niece Gina Lopez, as well as numerous great-great-nieces & nephews. Visitation will take place on Wednesday June 8, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Prayers will follow at 10:30 am at the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Anthony Sousa at 11:00 am at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church on Manchester Rd. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Village at St. Edward 3131 Smith Road Fairlawn, OH 44333-2613.
