Obituary of Lucretia Lantz
Lucretia Lantz, 86, fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Visiting Nurse Hospice Care Center in Copley, Ohio.
Her special loves were cooking, baking, reading and knitting as well as her 16 years of volunteer service to Hospice where she was awarded the United Way Volunteer of the Year Award; and her Church where she devoted much time and held close to her heart. She retired from B.F.Goodrich Tire and Rubber Company after forty years of service.
She was preceded in death by husband, Norman; daughter, BiBi; grandson, Niall; parents, George and Yelca Bogdan; brothers, Bill and John; and sister, Flora. She is survived by sister, Mary Copacia and her husband, Reverend Leo; brother, George Bogdan and his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Sharon Marquard and her husband, Chuck; sons, John Jones and his wife, Frances and Jeff Lantz and his wife, Patti; and son -in-law, Geoff Robinson. She is also survived by her close cousins, Christina Shantz and Violet Leathers; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church where Lucretia will lie in state one hour prior to service. Very Rev. Dr. Ian Pac-Urar officiating. Interment will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. The family will receive friends TONIGHT, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Church where a Saracusta service will be held at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church Sunday School, 3365 Ridgewood Rd.
