Obituary of Gary L. Elliott

Gary L. Elliott, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 15, 2011. He was born in Akron, Ohio and was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1970. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where he was the organist/choir director and very involved in the church in many other aspects as well. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Elliott; and is survived by sisters, Vicki (Joseph) Henico, Lori Elliott and Alice (Gregg) Wieland; nieces, Melissa Henico, Jessica (Steve) Michalec and Emily (fiance, Nate Worthington) Henico; nephew, Chandler Wieland; great-nephew, Gavin Michalec; and many cousins and friends. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 550 E. Wilbeth Rd. in Akron where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Pastor Eiwen officiating. Interment of ashes will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
