Obituary of Katherine Wyhowanec

Katherine Wyhowanec (Eich), 93 years old, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011 peacefully with her family at her side. Katherine was born in Akron, Ohio on January 9, 1918 to the late George and Netta Eich. Katherine was married to Steve Wyhowanec May 12, 1951. This year would have been their 60th anniversary. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church and a past member of the Young Women's Club of the church. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, George and Netta Eich, brother, George Eich, and sisters, Nettie Kremer and Elizabeth Guttrung. She is survived by her loving family: her husband, Steve Wyhowanec; daughter, Carol; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at the Pallative Care Unit at Summa Hospital 3rd floor for all of their compassion. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church where Katherine will lie in state one hour prior to service. Very Rev. Fr. Nicholas Wyslutsky officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S.
