Obituary of Mark Henry Seloover
GREEN - Mark Henry Seloover, 56, of Green died unexpectedly Thursday, May 5, 2011 in Cozumel, Mexico.
Mark was born June 16, 1954 to the late Keith and Mary (McMurrough) Seloover in Sterling, IL and was an area resident for many years. After proudly graduating from The University of Wisconsin at Madison, he was employed as a chemical engineer by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.
Mark was a passionate sports fan;'da Bears' always held a special place in his heart. He attended Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, was a member of the Goodyear Golf league at Mayfair, volunteered with the Boy Scouts and was an avid history buff.
Mark was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sheryl in December 2010, his parents and his brother Kevin; and is survived by his daughters Laura Ann and Jennifer Marie Seloover; sister Ellen (Joe Fichter) Seloover; nephews Chad (Danielle) Elrod and Chad (Susie) Fichter and niece Lindsay Elrod.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday 10:00 am at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday 5 to 8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Green Chapel, 4178 Massillon Rd. (on the roundabout at Massillon and Steese Rds in Green, entrance off Steese Rd). Please wear something dark blue and orange to honor his love of 'da Bears' to the calling hours and funeral. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) in honor of his late wife or to the study of CSTE (www.bu.edu/cste/) for his love of the game; please include the family's address in the comments so a thank you card can be sent.
