Obituary of Mildred A. McMillan

Mildred A. McMillan (nee Haubert), age 87, passed away at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center, April 18, 2011. She was born on January 29, 1924 in Cuyahoga Falls and remained a life-long resident. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mae; by her husband of 55 years, Albert; by brothers Earl, Tom and Bill, and sisters Rosella Robb, Florence Abdoo, Betty Lutz and Loretta Foster. She is survived by her sister Louise Gingery. She also leaves her three children Marcia (Ken) Harris, Becky (George) Karadin, and Michael (Cheryl) McMillan, grandchildren Sonita, Joshua, Kyle, Karen, Morgen, Keith and Nina, and great-grandchildren Trent, Laine, Brooke, Drake and Sebastian. Mildred was known for her kindness and generosity, and she will be greatly missed by all of her family and her many nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Rogers Hospice Care Center for their fine care. The family would also like to give special thanks to her family doctor, Carl Simmers, and his wife Bonnie for their extraordinary care, love, hard work and support during her final months. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011, 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Cuyahoga Falls. The family looks forward to receiving guests at a reception to immediately follow at the adjacent IHM School. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls.
