Obituary of Elsie L. Treharne

Elsie L. "Mitzi" Treharne, 78, fell asleep in the Lord Friday, April 15, 2011. She was born in Akron and was a member of Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church and Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, doll collecting and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vasile and Christina (Ranisov) Vasei; and brother, Theodore Vasei. She is survived by her sons, Wesley (Heather) Kasper and George (Carole) Treharne; daughters, Christine Treharne and Michelle (Jeff) Yates; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Flora Grossmayer, Mary Esmond-Taylor, Helen Sokol and Dolly Zimmerli; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church where Elsie will lie in state and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Very Rev. Dr. Ian G. Pac-Urar officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Donations may be made to Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church, 3365 Ridgewood Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333.
