Obituary of Anita Falasco
Anita Falasco (nee Furlan) passed away on November 28, 2012, at the age of 86.
She was born in Gorizia, which is located in the northern part of Italy on August 14, 1926. Anita was taken prisoner during the war and escaped on the way to the prison camp. She was the only person in her group that survived the escape. Anita came to the United States in 1946 as a war bride. She was the second oldest of seven brothers and two sisters, all of whom remained in Italy. She worked for General Motors, Packard Electric division in Warren, Ohio for 30 years and was a resident of New Bedford, Pa for over 35 years and later a resident of Akron, Ohio. She recently lived with her son in Simpsonville, SC.
Anita is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Falasco, Sr., four of her brothers and both of her sisters. She is survived by her son Richard Falasco, Jr., daughter-in-law Diane Falasco, grandson Eric Falasco, and two daughters, Adelma Bradley, LaVerne Clay and brothers Oreste Furlan and Giorgio Furlan.
Celebration of Life services will take place December 9th at 3PM at Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Interment will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Memorial Contributions may be sent to the Agape Foundation c/o Agape Senior Center 420 W. Farley Ave, Laurens, SC 29360
